Well this one is a bit of a pivot for the thrifty crowd. The Thrifty Gadget Guy found a product where money matters, a packable camping chair. We all know TGG likes to get out in nature and enjoy a bit of solitude. He always packs a hammock and a chair. Most chairs have been a disappointment until the Cliq packable chair.
Most chairs are either too bulky, too heavy or difficult to assemble and pack. The Cliq chair is light, small, seamless to open and close, has a high load limit and is built amazingly well. Is it a bit pricey, yes is it worth it, again yes. TGG has tried chairs that cost half as much but all were flawed. They were flimsy, had separate frame and seat pieces or just didn’t pack small enough.
The Cliq chair packs to about the size of a water bottle, weighs just a couple pounds and deploys in seconds. but is it worth almost $100
Thrifty Gadget Guys says……Yes. The quality build means it will last for years. The ease of use and size mean you will use it every opportunity you have. Stick in your backpack, toss it in your kayak or canoe. Store it in your car for picnics, tailgating or a quick stop at a kids sporting event. For all those reasons it is still a thrifty decision.
